What was your inspiration for creating ByMeghanG?
My inspiration for creating ByMeghanG came from my passion for transforming spaces and the belief that every woman deserves a home she loves, regardless of budget. I wanted to create a place where women could come for accessible, real-life inspiration - whether tackling a DIY project, renovating a room, or looking for small decor ideas that make a big impact. My goal is to empower and inspire my audience to create spaces that reflect their unique style and feel like a true haven for them. Seeing others feel capable and excited about their homes keeps me motivated daily!
How do you go about sourcing materials?
When sourcing materials, I use a flexible and creative approach. I love mixing high-end, investment pieces with budget-friendly finds to show that great design doesn’t have to be expensive. I look for inspiration in local stores, hotels, online shops, vintage markets, and even resale platforms, which often have unique, affordable items. For DIY projects, I keep an eye out for versatile and cost-effective materials that can be adapted for various styles and projects. Sourcing is all about finding pieces that reflect my vision and resonate with my audience and clientele, so I’m always looking for hidden gems!

What is your favorite part about doing home updates and renovations?
My favorite part of home updates and renovations is watching a lifeless space come to life. I love using my creativity to envision what a room could be - and then watching that vision come to fruition. There's something so rewarding about transforming a blank slate or an outdated space into a room that feels warm, inviting, and full of character.
What is your least favorite part about doing home updates and renovations?
My least favorite part of home renovations is that everything always seems to take four times longer than expected! No matter how well I plan, unexpected delays or challenges always pop up along the way.
How has your style evolved over the years?
My style evolves constantly, especially as I mature and lean more toward timelessness over trendy designs. I’ve always loved neutrals, and while my core style has stayed consistent, it’s shifted over the years as I’ve come to appreciate classic pieces and design. I love how my style reflects who I am now and where I’ve been.

How has ByMeghanG evolved over the years?
ByMeghanG has evolved so much over the years! What began as a small space to share decor inspiration has become a community of women who come together for DIY projects, home updates, and practical design tips. As my life has changed, from renovating homes to preparing for motherhood, my content has expanded to reflect that journey. I’m constantly adapting to offer even more relatable, helpful inspiration to empower others to create a home they love.
What have been some of the highlights of your career so far?
One of the biggest highlights of my career was winning “Home and Design Influencer of the Year” at the Philly Mag Influencer Awards and being featured in their “Philly’s 100 Most Influential People of 2023” issue. I’ve also loved being chosen as an ambassador for the Design Mart in Chicago and selected for the Influencers Tour at High Point Market. Working with some of my favorite brands, like Studio McGee, Kohler, Ann Sacks, and Nostalgic Warehouse, has been a dream come true!
What have been some of the biggest challenges so far?
Some of my biggest challenges have come from navigating social media. The pressure to avoid comparing myself, my worth, and my success to others can be challenging, as it’s easy to feel inadequate on social media. On top of that, the ever-changing algorithm can be overwhelming to keep up with. Despite these challenges, I try to focus on staying true to my vision and connecting authentically with my audience.

What are your favorite types of projects to work on?
My favorite projects to work on are nurseries! Even before I was expecting my own child, I loved designing nurseries for others. I enjoy incorporating cute, whimsical elements that make the space feel unique and magical. I also love how creative I can get with these designs and the challenge of creating a nursery that complements the vibe of the rest of the home while still feeling like a room meant for a baby.
What is your current favorite room in your home and why?
My favorite room in our home is the downstairs bathroom at our Vermont cabin! As beginner DIYers, we put ten months of our own blood, sweat, and tears into that space. It was the first full bathroom I gutted and designed from scratch and the first bathroom my husband built. I can’t believe how beautiful it turned out, and I’m so proud of what we accomplished together!
Is there anything else you would like to share?
I’d like to express my gratitude for my community and the support I receive. Connecting with other women on similar journeys, whether in home design or motherhood, is inspiring. I’m excited to continue sharing my experiences, tips, and projects, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us all!
Thank you, Meghan, for another uplifting partnership!
